BlackMountain Partners, LLC is a self-storage investment and development firm founded
in 2017. BMP is an affiliate of a family real estate organization which owns a large portfolio of multi-family apartment complexes as well as office, industrial, healthcare, early education and medical office buildings nationwide.
BMP was formed in order to capitalize on the opportunity to develop self-storage in the Northeastern United States using our existing in-house development capabilities and our knowledge of non-commodity real estate.
Self-storage was specifically chosen in order to capitalize on the compelling industry fundamentals, the large existing stock of obsolete industrial properties, as well as the team’s significant experience with adaptive reuse development. BMP focuses on both the adaptive
reuse conversion of existing properties to self-storage, as well as the ground-up development
of Class A facilities in urban infill markets.
By typically using discretionary and balance sheet capital to fund transactions, BlackMountain possesses the ability to move quickly and consummate transactions faster than other buyers
who must first pass an investment committee and/or raise capital before proceeding to close.
The BlackMountain team excels at conducting rapid due diligence by carefully pre-selecting markets and studying the core aspects of each transaction; thereby preparing itself to move quickly in order to close transactions in a rapid fashion. With a wide array of relationships and an entrepreneurial team, BlackMountain has the intellectual and financial wherewithal to meet the needs of large transactions while remaining agile enough to fast-track mid and small-sized transactions.
